This set of paintings I created as part of my "Florescence" series. I created these specifically for an exhibition in Deep Ellum, TX called "Realms of Reality" which featured artwork by all women artists and had a particular focus on surreal, psychedelic, or fantasy as interpreted by each artist in their own style.
I was going for a more whimsical and psychedelic look and feel for these abstract botanical paintings.
My process was unplanned and intuitive.
These paintings are on panels with faux frames.
I have another set of the "Florescence" series without frames that I will share in another post.
Sizes here are approx 12"x14" for the ovals and 13" for the circles.
I am currently reworking these paintings digitally so there will be more to come with these designs.
